Job Description Summary:
We are looking for an experienced, highly engaged, dynamic leader to serve as our Sr. Director, Head of Finance for PayPal Invest (broker dealer). The Head of Finance will lead and oversee PayPal Invest finances including revenue, expense, balance sheet, and working capital management as well as broker-dealer regulatory reporting (net capital under SEC rule 15c-1 and, eventually customer segregation under SEC rule 15c3-3).

Job Responsibilities

  • Take lead and develop a continuous evaluation of both short-term and long-term financial strategies to ensure achievement of company objectives.
  • Provide timely and detailed analysis of budgets, forecasts, and financial trends, and maintain the credibility of the BD Finance department.
  • Ensure that minimum net capital and an appropriate cushion are maintained.
  • Ensure that regulatory reporting is submitted to the regulators in a timely manner.
  • Take a leadership position in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive job cost system.
  • Guide and supervise all activities pertaining to the Finance & Accounting department of the organization.
  • Evaluate and advise on the long-term impacts of financial planning, the launch of new products or strategies, and regulatory actions.
  • Report to the BD CEO and maintain strong relationships with the senior executives in Invest and the larger PayPal organization by identifying their needs and providing a wide range of business solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the larger PayPal Finance organization.
  • Brief the senior management on the short-term and long-term financial implications of the ongoing and upcoming business activities.
  • Evaluate company performance and recommend improvements that can be employed to enhance performance and develop new business opportunities.
  • Implement effective internal controls within the organization and ensure compliance with the control guidelines.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards (such as US GAAP or IFRS), federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial reporting.



Requirements

  • 12+ years of related experience.
  • CPA and MBA highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing people and in working cross functionally across an organization.
  • Ability to collaborate with executive team members, clients and other business stakeholders to ensure the integrity of company standards and operations.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; including strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills for forecasting and a strong attention to detail.
  • Client commercial management in financial industry preferred.
  • Strong project management and performance management skills.
  • FINRA Series 27.
