Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop annual and quarterly business plans together with category and product management, business operations and channel leads. Plan forecasts by channel/account and by model based on historical trends and category strategy.
  • Analyze sell-in and sell-out actuals and forecasts across retail, carrier, B2B and samsung.com channels. Work with category operations to consolidate quarterly gap closure opportunities.
  • Analyze and report profitability for promotional roadmaps across product categories and channels
  • Analyze sales promotion, sell-out and competitive/market data to calculate ROI and determine success/failure factors in order to provide guidance for future promotional planning.
  • Track monthly/quarterly proposed national and account specific promotions in order to forecast total sales deduction (SD) expense for the quarter. Together with the category team, manage to target KPI for budgeted SD expense.
  • Simulate SD expense for account-specific promotion proposals and determine margin variance for account-specific pricing proposals. Together with business and category management, evaluate profit impact and determine approval go/no-go.
  • Develop bottoms up sell-in and sell-out forecast targets for new product introductions. Work with category team, product team and channels to finalize GTM sales targets.
  • Coordinating and handling the escalation of critical product availability, sell-in/sell-out or demand discrepancies with category/product/business management and channel/sales leadership
  • Consolidating and publishing the weekly financial outlook, translating PSI and unit sales into financial figures to analyze the state of the business
  • creating and executing quarterly strategies and business plans specific for the account or for specific Samsung products.
  • Review current process and propose improvements
    Qualifications/Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years of directly related experience is required
  • Data Analytics/ advanced Strong Excel
  • Experience researching and developing analytical frameworks/solutions to resolve business/sales planning challenges
  • Experience developing PowerPoint presentations and storylines
  • Nice to Have:
  • Experience with data modeling or analysis tools e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or similar
  • Experience developing KPI and executive dashboards

  • Extremely comfortable with quickly learning new systems and processes
  • Independent and can take full charge of responsibilities, but not afraid to ask for guidance when needed
  • Strong time and project management skills - able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with concurrent and competing deadlines
  • Willing to able to travel nationally. Travel about 10% of time.


Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions:

  • The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
  • Work is generally performed in an office environment.
  • Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time.
  • The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds.
  • Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress.
  • Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with PCs, printers, and office work areas.
  • Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule.
  • Under very little direct supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored and consequences of decisions adversely affect operating results and management decisions. Complete access to confidential company data where disclosure may jeopardize the company's competitive position.
