Job Summary

Cox Media Group is looking for a Senior Treasury Analyst!

The primary focus of this position is to assist in managing and analyzing the financial activity of the Company, particularly cash. It also includes asset and liability management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Ensure that all debt instruments are properly entered and updated in the treasury management system; from there prepare monthly interest expense entries to be reviewed and recorded
• Initiate wire transactions for periodic payments of principal and interest on debt
• Develop and maintain a forecast (updated at least monthly) for interest expense on all debt instruments
• Working with the Accounts Payable function, prepare weekly payment runs of both ACH and check payments for vendors, prize winners and customer refunds
• Develop and maintain a process for identifying key vendors and ensure that they are paid on a timely basis each month; follow up and resolve any missing payments
• Assist in the preparation of daily liquidity reports
• Monitor bank accounts daily for returned ACHs and resolve the underlying cause of the returns
• Complete wire templates and initiate wire transactions as required
• Serve as the liaison with Wells Fargo and US Bank to ensure that all administrative matters are timely completed (e.g., new account openings, signature card changes, etc.)
• Assist the Enterprise Accounting group with the identification / resolution of reconciling items that stem from Accounts Payable or Treasury
• Act as a liaison between the locations / other departments and Treasury to educate on processes, systems, policies and procedures
• Provide problem resolution support to all of the finance function for payment activities
• Propose opportunities to streamline Treasury work flows and processes as well as enhance their consistent application
• Assist in monitoring the internal control environment and ensuring compliance with best practices
• Other duties and projects that may be assigned from time to time

What we look for

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and / or CTP preferred
• Minimum of 7 years accounting / treasury experience with increasing levels of complexity
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under aggressive deadlines
• Strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
• Previous experience with SaaS-based ERPs and treasury management systems preferred
• Experience with sophisticated credit facilities a plus
• Experience with complex banking structures a plus
• Experience with derivative financial instruments and hedging activities a plus
