The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director or Manager, the Sr Treasury Analyst is responsible for supporting Treasury and associated business partners throughout the organization. The Analyst is responsible for routine activities, within aligned function, using existing procedures and policy. The Analyst performs day to day structured work assignments requiring only moderate instruction and guidance from more senior level roles.
The Work Itself
- Learning and understanding of Ally's Liquidity Risk measures including internal liquidity stress testing as well as other liquidity risk metrics
- Grasp of short term and long-term liquidity forecasting
- Understanding cash and investment management and positions and execution
- Asset and liability management
The Skills You Bring
- 3+ year's progressive experience in aligned area/functions (Structured Funding, Funding & Liquidity, Liquidity Risk, Treasury Operations, Capital and Balance Sheet Management, Capital Markets, Economics) in the financial industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or General Business preferred
- Exposure to financial statement analysis
- Possesses solid technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process and leadership capabilities.
- Solid communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work within short deadlines
- Excellent Excel skills and proficiency in PowerPoint and Access
- Exhibit a strong work ethic and high degree of self-motivation
- Applies relevant regulations, policies and procedures to business issues and day to day responsibilities.
- Comfortable interacting with other personnel in group or support staff from other departments; may interact with other internal and external personnel (i.e., external auditors, regulators) on specific projects or routine matters, usually under supervision
- Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) preferred
