Senior Training Specialist - Healthcare Finance
How you'll make an impact:
As we continue to grow our client training, education, and engagement team, we are looking for a Senior Training Specialist with a strong subject matter expertise in healthcare finance. As a Senior Training Specialist, you will use your skills and knowledge in curriculum development, adult learning principles and healthcare finance to create, maintain, and deliver training to our customers.
- Monitor, track and digest healthcare finance and healthcare industry trends:
- Scour newsletters, webcasts, websites, online searching, etc. to keep pace on the latest developments within the healthcare finance, and broader healthcare industry
- The ideal candidate for this job will be “plugged in” to industry trends, understand the broader context of what is going on in the industry, and is inherently curious and enthusiastic about the topic
- Additionally, the ideal candidate will use this ongoing knowledge of industry trends to develop related educational programs for Strata customers.
Design, maintain, and deliver instructor-led training for assigned industry topics and audiences.
Partner with third party organizations (such as HFMA) to identify potential learning tracks for healthcare finance professionals.
Contribute to development and maintenance of eLearning scripts and lessons for assigned programs.
Learn and integrate all adult learning principles and training delivery best practices into classroom training, which includes:
Maintain a keen understanding of training trends and best practices and structure programs around these best practices
Learn and incorporate instructional design best practices into curriculum development including the use of a curriculum matrix, lesson plans, participant guides and PowerPoints.
Partner with Strata's Solution Strategy team to develop training materials related to industry thought leadership (e.g., being an effective cost leader) while focusing on best practice training approach and customer needs.
Respond to ad-hoc requests for client-facing training deliverable development.
Cross-train and provide backup instructor coverage for related solution training classes.
Build and maintain partnerships across teams to increase the success and advocacy of the client training team.
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field (e.g., Education, Health Administration, Business, Finance)
Familiarity with adult education techniques and instructional design concepts.
Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS) preferred.
1-2 years’ experience in corporate training or adult education/learning or related field.
5+ years’ experience in healthcare industry, including healthcare finance
A solid understanding of healthcare finance including basic principles, key players, and a desire to continually deepen your understanding of the industry
Experience developing and delivering curriculum that adheres to style guidelines, adult learning techniques, and scenario-based learning.
Success managing multiple projects while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Proven ability to hold yourself accountable to meeting deadlines.
