About This Role:
Biz2Credit is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in New York City. The incumbent will take ownership in the month-end close process and lead the preparation of financial statements. He/she will also play a role in the refinement and implementation of Biz2Credit's systems and processes. This position is operating in a hybrid model.
Responsibilities:
Direct month-end closing process
Prepare financial statements including but not limited to balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements under US GAAP
Participate in various reconciliations (i.e., bank reconciliation, system to system reconciliation)
Collaborate with the Finance team in enhancing and implementing systems and processes and writing accounting policies and procedures
Provide ad-hoc support in wiring funds and other operational requests
Ability to write Accounting policies and procedures
Experience in changing or improving systems and processes to enhance internal controls and efficiency

Position Requirements
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance required, Master's Degree or MBA a plus
Minimum 5 to 7 years of accounting experience; experience working in the Fintech/banking industry or working with financial services/banking clients a must.
Netsuite experience required.
Working knowledge of preparation of financial statements -Balance sheet, Income Statement, Cash flow statements under US GAAP
CPA license preferred
