SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT (G2)

SUMMARY: The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for understanding multiple aspects of the business and the related impact on revenue, expenses, assets and liabilities.  Utilizing this understand the Senior Staff Accountant will perform accounting task such as general ledger entries and reconciliations, account analysis and research, will have standard monthly responsibilities and will be involved in project work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for posting month-end journal entry and reconciling accounts
• Fixed Asset and WIP responsibilities including knowledge of capitalization and depreciation policies, working with business team members related to the same and owner of fixed asset and WIP subledgers
• Collaborate with Finance and Product Development Teams to ensure appropriate capitalization of people costs
• Heavily involved in new partner relationships, including appropriate revenue recognition and process flow for new products in areas of responsibility
• Responsible for cost of sales, including accrual and reconciliation process in areas of responsibility
• Ensure that partner receipts and payments comply with partnership agreements
• Understand the collection and cash application process and assist in problem resolution in areas of responsibility
• Ability to work on large projects with appropriate direction and supervision and have a point of view for resolution
• Responsible for successfully partnering with many roles within 84.51°, Accounting, Finance, CFO, Business & Client Leadership, Kroger, Business Systems and Credit and Collections, and be a company representative when interacting with external clients

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA / CPA Preferred)
• 2-3 years of Public Accounting experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with D365 and Salesforce preferred but not required
• Ability to effectively and professionally communicate within a team environment, both internally and externally
• Ability to execute detailed work independently and accurately, particularly with large quantities of data from multiple sources
