Job Overview:

As a Senior Financial Analyst overseeing revenue at AvidXchange you will have responsibility to oversee the systems, processes, and infrastructure necessary to ensure we can support AvidXchange's growth. This person will take ownership of and improve the planning, forecasting, and reporting program for total company revenues. This includes consolidated revenue as well as sub-P&L's and cohort analysis of strategic & emerging lines of business. This is a highly visible role that will partner with stakeholders across the go-to-market org. helping to lead and guide the business to reach short and long-term growth and monetization objectives.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Serve as an FP&A business partner to revenue leadership, working collaboratively to execute high confidence revenue planning processes including monthly forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Avid's business to become the revenue expert, keeping a pulse on customers, internal operations, and macroeconomic trends that will impact revenue.
  • Develop and implement effective and efficient communication strategies to provide data driven recommendations to supplement regular planning processes. Areas could include pricing, monetization strategies, pro-forma P&L development, and long-range planning.
  • Collaborate on new opportunities and complete ad-hoc analysis as needed, potentially including strategic partnership opportunities, M&A, and new business development.
  • Collaborate with peers in finance, controllership, billing, and data intelligence to ensure data is consistently maintained accurately to allow for in-depth analyses in areas such as vertical, customer, and product lines.
  • Anticipate the current and future needs of our Revenue FP&A team as Avid grows in scale and complexity. Proactively implement and oversee the systems, processes, and infrastructure necessary to ensure we can support Avid's growth.



What sets you apart:

  • Master-level understanding of payments business model as well as common software revenue business models including transactional, subscription, perpetual license, & professional services models.
  • Self-directed and proactive style, taking ownership of your work and continuously looking for ways to improve our processes.
  • Cool under pressure with high emotional maturity. Able to maintain the organization of your work and execute in an environment that is rapidly growing and evolving.
  • Ability to study and evaluate opportunities and risks, focusing leadership on metrics and trends that matter, and producing increasingly accurate & reliable forecasts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must. Able to communicate complex business information in consumable executive summary narratives and actionable insights.
  • Must have demonstrated the highest level of mastery of Microsoft Excel modeling.
  • A penchant for nurturing trusted cross-functional relationships, influencing decisions at the highest levels, and driving alignment on financial targets. Seen as a trusted and objective advisor.



The experience we're looking for:

  • 3-5+ years of relevant revenue management experience in Sales Finance, FP&A, Strategic Finance, or investment banking.
  • Revenue modeling & forecasting experience in payments or technology business, with an understanding of how to use both internal and external data drivers.
  • Full P&L management experience, with a history of tying common drivers and investment plans to revenue forecasts.
  • Successful business partner relationships, demonstrating a track record of working collaboratively with business managers and using financial analysis to influence decisions and guide execution.
  • High growth public technology company experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience designing and improving financial processes, systems, and controls to match the needs of a high-growth business.
