Senior Program Financial Analyst
STR is hiring a Senior Program Financial Analyst who will support all aspects of program planning, monitoring, analyzing, tracking, and reporting on various programs. The Senior Program Financial Analyst will interact with technical staff and business operations departments and require effective collaboration and communication across the organization.
Description & Responsibilities:
- Monitoring, tracking, analyzing, and reporting on program financials on various programs varying in size and complexity with attention to 75% spent metrics and backlog reporting
- Collaborating with program managers, technical group leadership, contracts, and other business operations departments
- Managing subcontractor and consultant hours/costs and addressing funding needs as well as monitoring invoicing
- Completing accurate submission of customer financial deliverables (i.e., Funds and Man-Hours Expenditure Report, Contract Funds Status Report, Financial Status Report, etc.)
- Analyzing program data to ensure estimates are accurate and complete
- Alerting technical group leads and finance management to potential at risk situations
- Maintaining timely and accurate EACs for assigned programs
- Preparing variance analysis in support of program and functional management
- Developing EACs on major programs
- Using standard Earned Value Management System (EVMS) tracking techniques, analyzing, reporting cost, and schedule performance baseline
- Creating and maintaining complex financial models to be used by management in business planning
- Demonstrating the ability to proactively solve problems and issues in a timely manner with minimal supervision
- Conducting ad hoc analysis and performing special projects as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance
- 5-8 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field. DoD Finance background preferred
- Ability to:
- Obtain a security clearance (US Citizen)
- Analyze and interpret financial data using advanced analytical skills
- Communicate effectively
- Make decisions with sound judgement while complying with policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers
- Work independently and in a team environment to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to establish processes to drive efficiencies
- Minimum of 3 years using an Earned Value tool (COBRA, etc.)
- Experience with cost plus, fixed price, and T&M contract types
- Experience in developing EACs on major programs
- Familiarity with Costpoint or other ERP
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects
