Buildertrend is looking for an ambitious and hard-working Senior Payroll Accountant to join our Finance team. As the Senior Payroll Accountant, you coordinate with the Finance and HR departments to manage the payroll process for 800+ employees on a bi-weekly basis. This includes processing payroll, overseeing all payroll tax compliance, coordinating with HR on benefits administration, and improving processes across the role.

• Processing payroll using Paycom
• Managing state and federal payroll taxes
• Ensuring payroll compliance with a steady stream of new hires
• Issuing W-2s
• Interacting with employees on a regular basis to resolve outstanding questions and concerns
• Managing company ACA requirements & filings
• Collaborating on employee benefits
• Migration of employees onto payroll post acquisitions
• Evaluating current processes and implementing new procedures

the preferred candidate

• Bachelors or Associates degree in Business, Accounting or related field preferred
• Minimum of three years in a dedicated payroll role
• Paycom HRIS experience a major plus
• Self-starter
• Driven
• Critical thinker with exceptional attention to detail and ability to problem solve
• Proficient user of MS Office and related tooling
• Ability to think outside the box and implement change
