About the job
The Red Hat Finance and Accounting Operations team within the Red Hat Global Process Excellence team is looking for a OneStream Financial Specialist to join us in Raleigh, NC or remotely. In this role, you will serve as a financial specialist with advanced OneStream knowledge, supporting the OneStream users across Red Hat and reporting to the senior manager of Finance and Accounting Operations. Your primary responsibilities will be to partner with the OneStream business analyst and OneStream trainer and test lead as a consultant and provide expert guidance for new system enhancements and implementations. To be successful, you'll need to be able to gather and understand complex financial planning and reporting requirements from the Finance teams and provide solutions that can be built into Red Hat's OneStream application. Your work will require a global focus as the core set of your responsibilities will be global by nature. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do
- Play a consultative role for the Finance and Accounting Operations team in relation to OneStream support and enhancements
- Provide expert guidance for new OneStream enhancements and implementation projects
- Help with establishing best practices in OneStream report development in partnership with the OneStream report writer
- Serve as a OneStream subject matter expert and team member in OneStream implementation projects
- Collaborate with and establish solid and trusted working relationships with all stakeholders
- Provide support to the senior Finance and Accounting Operations manager as a consultant and expert on OneStream as needed
- Demonstrate insightful use of financial analysis techniques, tools, and concepts
- Understand key financial performance and operational metrics to incorporate metrics into standard reports
- Maintain knowledge and stay up to date on developments in OneStream software
What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree in finance or a business-related major
- 3+ years of experience in a financial analysis, budgeting and planning, or reporting role
- 3+ years of working experience with multidimensional databases like Hyperion Essbase, OneStream Planning, or Cognos
- Experience with OneStream implementation and enhancements
- Demonstrated knowledge of XFGet Functions, Quick Views, and Cube Views
- Skilled with office applications like Microsoft Office suite or Google office applications
- Excellent problem-solving and financial modeling skills in spreadsheets
- Results-oriented with excellent critical problem-solving and communication skills
- Solid initiative and ability to manage multiple projects
- Financial modeling experience and understanding of financial statements
- Solid analytical and data organization or interpretation skills
- Excellent technical and business communication skills
- Ability to organize and conduct medium to large-sized meetings and manage assigned responsibilities with limited supervision
The following are considered a plus:
- MBA, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Financial Planning and Analysis Certificate (FPAC), or OneStream certifications
- Experience with data mining tools or dashboard creation, i.e., Tableau
- Previous experience with programming, scripting, or writing database SQL code
- Previous experience or familiarity with a software or subscription model business
- Experience with software and technology companies
