We are looking for a motivated Senior Manager to join our global revenue accounting operations team to support the Order-to-Cash process. The Order-to-Cash team is a vital partner to Spotify’s business, supporting key priorities and future growth by helping to develop and implement scalable processes while protecting the integrity of our financial statements. Our Senior Manager will be responsible for supervising key revenue accounting processes and operations, special projects, and communicating with key partners and special projects.


The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented and motivated self-starter who thrives working in a dynamic environment, and has at least 8-10+ years of revenue accounting experience with 6+ years experience in technology, payments, digital media, or telecommunications. What you'll do

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of the Company’s financials in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control requirements.
  • Lead special projects, system implementations and enhancements as well as perform ad hoc analyses as assigned.
  • Review and approve month-end close procedures, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses, for various revenue streams such as advertising, subscriptions and/or revenue earned through acquisitions.
  • Develop operational processes that ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting, and work with Engineering teams to automate various elements to ensure long-term scalability for new revenue streams.
  • Collaborate with key Order-to-Cash stakeholders and assist in developing key processes to support new business initiatives from a financial accounting perspective.
  • Oversee the management of daily accounting operations and processes for onshore and offshore team members to scale our global revenue operations and achieve key operational metrics.
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement in the Order-to-Cash programs by reviewing company policies and advising management on possible risks.

Who you are

  • Minimum of 8-10+ years revenue accounting experience, preferably with companies in the Advertising, Technology, Payments, Digital Media, or Telecommunications industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or higher education equivalent with CPA or CA license strongly preferred
  • A mixture of Big 4 and industry experience
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfortable with large data volume.
  • Experience with major ERP systems required (Netsuite, Oracle or SAP).
  • Have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work under time pressure, prioritize a high workload, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.
