We are seeking an experienced, ambitious team leader to join our Operational Accounting team as a Senior Accounting Manager. To be successful in this role, you must be able to lead a diverse team in a fast paced ever evolving environment. You will manage a team responsible for executing the monthly accounting responsibilities effectively in a controlled environment. It is also important that you're able to review and analyze legal contracts, to determine the appropriate revenue recognition treatment for financial reporting purposes.

Reports To: Senior Director, Accounting

Essential Job Responsibilities:• Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including revenue recognition determination, journal entry review, balance sheet reconciliation review and oversight of the month end accounting and financial reporting processes.• Maintain an effective control structure that results in the accurate and timely reporting of the Division's financial results, ensuring compliance with established Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls, GAAP, and Fiserv Corporate Policies.• Foster a positive and proactive work environment, emphasizing respect for individuals, high standards of quality, customer service, innovation and teamwork.• Drive strong results orientation within department by motivating staff and holding them accountable to meet organizational goals• Serve as trusted advisor on business issues by becoming skillfully knowledgeable of key drivers that impact business performance across the Division.• Oversee audits, as required, with external and internal auditors, including supervising the audit process, preparing all necessary schedules / analyses and ensuring no significant audit deficiencies.• Identify, communicate, and execute on opportunities to improve internal controls and policies and procedures to streamline operations.• Perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:
Education:• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.

Certifications:• Certified Public Accountant a plus.

Job Related Experience:• 4 or more years experience supervising or managing an Accounting team.• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.• Software revenue recognition experience preferred.• SAP experience a plus.

Additional Skills/Knowledge:• Strong written and verbal communication skills.• Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and decision-making skills.• Excellent analytical, project management and organizational competences.• Ability to meet assigned deadlines.• Solid Microsoft Excel skills a must.• Great attention to detail.
