Senior Manager, FP&A
About the role
We’re seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Corporate FP&A function at Chime! You will be joining as an early leader on a growing team. In this role, you will own financial planning and reporting processes and the company’s financial model for annual planning, rolling forecasts, and long range planning. This is a highly visible role within the organization and requires someone who is a strong leader and communicator to help develop and shape our business and financial strategy.Â
This role cannot be performed in the state of Colorado.
In this role, you can expect to
- Own annual planning processes, quarterly board financial reporting, and monthly forecasts
- Work closely with senior executives to provide data-driven insights, facilitate decision making, and influence strategy with monthly business reviews, financial modeling, and dashboard development
- Foster collaborative relationships with business teams, implement new processes and drive continuous improvement through insightful analysis, building accountability and predictability of financial performance
- Build out the process, framework, and systems supporting our consolidated business forecast; establish budget & KPI tracking; own, continuously build and leverage our financial model to unlock our capabilities to answer burning questions about the business quickly
- Develop and implement guidelines to ensure reporting integrity and efficient close processes to deliver timely, complete and accurate financial information
- Serve as a thought-partner to leaders across the organization on strategy, develop a shared vision for how we scale efficiently and own headcount planning
- Partner with People team to drive compensation planning, HC allocation, bonus framework, and location strategy
- Hire, lead and develop a high-performance, high-integrity corporate FP&A team
To thrive in this role, you have
- Minimum 8+ years of finance/FP&A, investment banking, business intelligence, or consulting experience. 5+ years experience at a high-growth pre-IPO startup, public company, and/or FinTech experience a strong plus
- 2+ years managing at least one other direct report; prior experience building a team a plus
- Demonstrated leadership of a high functioning FP&A organization and track record of driving strong financial performance
- Experience evolving processes, controls and systems to support a high-growth company
- Expertise in Excel - you can build scalable, efficient, and intuitive models with ease; Experience with Adaptive, Netsuite, Looker, SQL a plus
- Strong analytical, financial modeling and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with key stakeholders, cross-functional partners and senior leadership
- Eagerness to dig into the details, contribute as a team player that embraces change and thrives in a fast-paced environment
