Senior Manager Financial Communication
Job Description
The Senior Manager Financial Communication will have responsibility to support the Garrett Investor Relations Director in developing and delivering the financial communication activities driven by the financial calendar.
The role will report to the Global External Communication Director based in Switzerland and will be based in Detroit, Michigan, USA.
Role & Responsibility
Works in partnership with the IR Director to develop the quarterly and yearly mandatory financial communication activities including earnings and investors / shareholder events
Assist to drafts, and /or edits financial communication materials including news releases, presentations, talking points and social media posts
Lead the annual report and Proxy design creation and publication
Reviews and facilitates approval of all financial communication activities and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures and Brand guidelines
Organize all the financial communication events locally and globally including roadshows, investor days and the shareholder meeting.
Partner with the Garrett global PR team for financial press releases and media monitoring
Support the Global External Communication Director for corporate and other external communication activities
Identifies and develops appropriate agency and third-party partnerships to help Garrett create an effective communication infrastructure and achieve desired outcomes
Maintains budget oversight for key agency relationships and other key vendors.
Collaborate with global HR and internal communications to engage employees on the Garrett listed company activities
Measure communications effectiveness
Job Requirement
Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field
Experience Required: 5+ years in financial communication with perfect understanding of company financials and 5+ years' experience in external communications including PR
Expertise in event organization and print communication
Experience working in a listed company or Financial PR agency
Good understanding of financial reports and accounting
Strong business acumen and the ability to strategically interface with and influence key stakeholders
Good writing and editing skills as well as excellent presentation skills.
Excellent project management and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to build teamwork and trust.
Positive attitude and willingness to embrace change.
Global mindset, 10-15% travel may be required.
