About the job

This highly visible position is needed to partner closely with our G&A functions to drive the opex investment strategy across these teams. You will partner with our G&A teams to forecast operating budgets, support key investment decisions and drive strategic decision making. Additionally, you will map and optimize processes to enable us to run a world-class finance team.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Speak informatively to outcomes and trends across functional budgets, manage the monthly close and forecast process, collaborate effectively with business partners to drive results.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve, scale, and simplify finance tools and reporting across teams; develop scalable and efficient financial processes that support the business.
  • Interface with business partners, accounting teams, and the corporate FP&A team to provide clear and transparent insight. Identify key stakeholders and partner with them to deliver outcomes that support their key needs; address pain points with innovative solutions.
  • Partner with Accounting to understand timing and ensure accuracy of entries that impact the P&L, become a trusted source for providing financial insights and communications to business partners, coordinate with Corporate FP&A teams to report and pace functional performance.
  • Understand the big-picture, think strategically and act tactically in an ambiguous environment; develop and provide reporting and analytics to help leadership make data-driven decisions.

Required:

  • To comply with Executive Order 14042, all Twilio employees working in the U.S. are required to submit proof of vaccination for COVID-19 unless they qualify for a medical or religious accommodation / exemption.  Employees onboarded after January 4, 2022 must submit proof of vaccination or receive approval for an exemption prior to their Twilio start date. 
  • 7+ years of experience in a progressive financial role
  • Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills with a high level of attention to detail and confidentiality when necessary; trust-building with stakeholders a must.
  • Excels at managing multiple competing priorities, is eager to make an impact on the business, and works cross-functionally to tackle problems.
  • Ability to analyze data, consolidate views, package and present it for Senior Leadership and C-level consumption.
  • Ability to work autonomously, to meet tight deadlines and deliver results, and to thrive in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
  • Takes pride in their work’s integrity, quality, and accuracy, is extremely detail-oriented and is comfortable asking questions.
  • Identifies trends; resolves problems; determines system improvements.
  • Experience with Anaplan, NetSuite, Tableau and other FP&A software, and gravitates towards automating manual processes.
  • A humble, positive attitude and a team player mindset.

Location 

This role will be remote, and based in the USA.

Colorado applicants: 

  • The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $105,728 - $166,144.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
