We are looking for a motivated Senior Manager to join our Global Content Accounting team based in NYC. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating our response to audits initiated by our rights holders as well as supporting key internal audit processes. Success will require working across Content and Technical Accounting, Legal and Licensing, and Engineering as well as a high level of communication with outside partners. The candidate will be working in one of the most complex and exciting areas of our business and have the opportunity to help shape the Accounting organization’s approach to third party audits.

What You'll Do

  • Lead our response to rights-holder and internal audits across the content organization
  • Identify, develop, and execute a consistent and cross functional audit approach for both label and publishing audit requests
  • Analyze and investigate high volumes of data and information
  • Communicate confidently in a clear, concise and articulate manner
  • Develop a high understanding of the business, including strategy, product lifecycle, associated business processes, technology, and related regulatory requirements
  • Develop and/or refine content accounting processes and procedures
  • Work cross functionally with Technical accounting, Finance, Legal, Content, Licensing, IA, FP&A, Billing, AR, IT, Tax and various business owners on policies, processes and programs, and help drive key system and process initiatives and improvements
  • Stay abreast of changes to regulations as well as audit best practices
  • Occasional travel may be required (post-pandemic)

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with CPA or CA, preferred
  • Minimum of 8+ years professional experience, preferred
  • Big 4 experience, preferred
  • Previous experience of IFRS and/or SOX is a requirement
  • Experience in the entertainment and media space, preferred
  • Experience with major ERP system preferred (Oracle, SAP or NetSuite)
  • Excellent time and self-management skills, ability to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines
  • Strong MS Excel and/or Google Sheets skills
  • Comfortable with extremely large data
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and constantly changing environments
