About the job
The Red Hat Global Financial Transformation and Operations team is looking for a Senior Manager to join us in Raleigh, NC or remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for managing business user support for accounting solutions, the deployment of new and enhanced accounting solution capabilities and supporting regional and global accounting teams during month and quarter-end cycles. Your primary responsibilities will be developing and implementing a strategy to support accounting solutions, leading the teams that provide business user support and continuing the growth and adoption of new accounting tools. As a Senior Manager, you will need to work independently, be able to effectively manage teams, and build relationships with business partners across Accounting and IT. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Partner together with the global process owners, service management leaders, and business delivery leaders to assess accounting operational support requirements
  • Implement an effective business end user support model for accounting solutions as well as month end and quarter end accounting activities
  • Identify opportunities to enhance or develop new accounting business capabilities to enable better, more efficient business delivery
  • Manage and prioritize backlog for new capability development and enhancements
  • Work with IT and Global Modernization and Process Excellence teams to develop and deploy new capabilities and enhancements
  • Provide end user support and guide improvement in support delivery
  • Manage change management activities related to deploying new capabilities and enhancements
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery
  • Implement effective service delivery metrics
  • Partner with Global Modernization and Process Excellence leaders to expand the Finance and Accounting operations scope and effectiveness


What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in financial and accounting services
  • Experience developing and deploying end user support processes
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work to achieve goals and expectations
  • Knowledge of product ownership models
  • Ability to collaborate with the global process owners, business delivery owners, and IT to promote a consistent associate experience related to financial management processes
  • Excellent speaking, writing, and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and to communicate with all levels in the organization
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to quickly gain insight into business needs
  • Ability to persuade management using data and ideas
  • Positive attitude and demonstrated professional integrity
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is a big plus
