Reporting to the Co-Chief Investment Officer, the Senior Investment Solutions Specialist (SISS) will build upon existing Sustainable/ESG (ESG) investing efforts to integrate, as appropriate, these elements into a multi-asset class investment framework as well as platform capabilities and solutions. The SISS will be highly collaborative and able to coordinate activities and engage meaningfully within and among IAG specialty teams, including: portfolio & market research, manager research, and investment communications. Effectiveness in this role will require an investment acumen about manager selection, versatility across traditional and alternative investments and skill in portfolio construction. In addition, the role will assume a high level of written and verbal ability regarding both investment management and sustainable investing topics. The SISS will facilitate the creation, packaging, delivery and support of ESG investment solutions and capabilities across Truist Wealth. The Senior Investment Solutions Specialist will build awareness and understanding of ESG, Truist Wealth's investment framework, and any Truist ESG solutions and capabilities with client-facing investment professionals as well as strengthen the client investment journey as it relates to ESG. The incumbent will interact with and facilitate collaboration across functions, such as legal, marketing, risk and compliance, sourcing, and technology. Additionally, the SISS will create and execute an external presence strategy. As such, the role will place important emphasis on speaking to a broad range of internal and external audiences on the firm's approach to sustainable investing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Lead a collaborative effort within Truist Wealth to build upon existing [Sustainability/ESG] efforts to integrate, as appropriate, Sustainability/ESG & Climate risk into a multi-asset class investment framework and platform capabilities and solutions.

2. Be the [ESG] subject-matter expert for Truist Wealth, and as such, remain attuned to industry best practices, "best of breed" investment solutions, changing regulatory requirements and industry dynamics.

3. Collaborate with teammates across IAG specialty teams to create, package, and/or deliver investment solutions and capabilities across Truist Wealth.

4. Create and deliver research papers and/or educational content for internal audiences, primarily client facing investment professionals, that in turn, will enable those professionals to engage effectively with clients.

5. Create unique and compelling client-facing communications and interactions.

6. Provide consultative services to client-facing investment professionals when constructing client investment proposals relating to ESG; Partner with Truist Foundations & Endowments and other lines of business, as required, to develop and maintain RFP/RFI responses that address Truist's [ESG] capabilities.

7. Collaborate across Truist Wealth to advocate for technology solutions that enable meaningful and impactful client interactions.

8. Create and maintain [ESG] dashboard reporting to track and communicate the development and progression of Truist Wealth's [ESG] investing efforts.
9. Partner with Truist enterprise ESG and Climate team(s) to create synergy among efforts, as appropriate

Qualifications

1. Deep industry knowledge across multiple asset classes-such as equities, fixed income, hedge funds and private equity-- in Sustainable/ESG investing.

2. Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal, with ability to work outside the parameters of specific role.

3. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and to influence and persuade others.

4. Must possess a high degree of intellectual curiosity commensurate with this critical area of thought leadership.

5. Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team.

6. Creative and analytical thinker who understands complexity and yet is able to communicate a message simply.

7. Exceptional organization, planning and project management skills.

8. Ability to be productive in a service oriented, high volume, fast-paced environment, supporting investment professionals in the GenSpring, Foundations & Endowment, Reserve and Signature client segments.

9. Series 65 or equivalent security licenses.

10. Ability to lead group meetings/trainings effectively

11. Ability to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Advanced degree in Business, Finance, Economics, e.g., MBA, Master's, Doctorate, etc.

2. 7-10 Years of experience in Investments as a researcher, asset manager, or working directly with client portfolios.

3. Experience gained in academic or professional settings vis-a-vis sustainable investing

4. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

5. Experience with relevant industry specific software and tools (e.g. Sustainalytics, MSCI ESG Ratings tools)

6. Hold or actively working toward industry designations (CFA, CAIA) Strong communicator/presenter.
