In the East and Central Regions of the United States, Beckman Coulter operates two manufacturing sites, one in Miami Florida (East) and the other in Chaska Minnesota (Central). These two sites are the largest manufacturing locations for Beckman Coulter with $500M in volume each year. The Senior Financial Analyst will provide support to the Hialeah, Florida manufacturing working closely with the Operations team.

The Operations Finance team is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to oversee the Hialeah manufacturing site supporting site Management by investigating actual to standard or estimate/budget variances. Active role in daily management and other periodic metrics and reporting. This position reports to the Senior Manager-Financial Planning & Analysis located in Chaska, MN.

This role also includes the following opportunity to:

  • Participate in daily management including periodic metric and reporting.
  • Gather historical cost data and allocations.
  • Involvement with forecasting and budgeting for the Hialeah Site teams.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconciliations of ledger accounts.
  • Annual calculation of item standard cost.
  • Learn and participate in continuous improvement culture by supporting daily management activities and participating in team-based process improvement projects.
  • Work collaboratively in a continuously improving environment.
  • Participate in special assignments crafted to capture data to improve operational efficiencies.


The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years of relevant experience or CPA or MBA with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in analyzing financial data and variances using Excel
  • Provide timely and accurate daily, weekly monthly financial analysis that will help drive financial results. Emphasis on accuracy and historical results but also accurate predictive tools used for overall P&L forecasting.
