STR’s is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to add to the growing Finance team. The successful candidate will support all aspects of financial analysis including monthly analysis of P&L’s, forecasts, and budgets. The Senior Financial Analyst will also regularly interact with internal customers, requiring a high level of coordination and communications

Description & Responsibilities:

• Financial business partner across Business Operations and Technical Divisions
• Drive the annual budget and monthly forecast processes
• Provide monthly analysis of financial results, including profit and loss, labor utilization, indirect expenses, and capital expenditures
• Provide detailed financial reports comparing budget and forecasts to actuals; provide assessment and causes of monthly variances as well as guidance to achieve overall financial goals
• Ensure that monthly actuals and forecast reports are reliable, accurate, and complete
• Ability to perform trend analysis and make recommendations to VP’s (revenues, indirect expenses, hiring capacity, etc.)
• Financial lead working with STR CTO to plan and track Internal Research & Development initiatives
• Collaborating with Division VP’s, Group Leads, and the Finance team on various Finance topics
• Assist with Accounting support during month-end
• Perform special projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance
• 3 – 7 years of experience in Accounting, FP&A, Finance, or related field
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Fundamental understanding of Microsoft Excel and ability to create intermediate formulas
• Strong problem solving and analytical skill

Ability to:

• Communicate effectively
• Stay organized and multi-task in a fast-moving environment
• Analyze and interpret financial data swiftly
• Work independently and in a team environment to meet deadlines
• Make decisions with sound judgement while complying with policies and procedures
• Establish processes to drive efficiencies
• Develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers
• Ability to obtain a security clearance (US Citizen)
