Your role in helping us shape the future:
As part of the Intelsat General Finance team, you will be responsible for driving the Business Plan process as well as conducting forecasting and analysis throughout the year. As part of a small team within a larger company, you will get to see all sides of the business while analyzing variances to budget and supporting the sales team. You will report on key metrics while also coming up with new reporting and analysis to drive business and contribute to our success. Are you up to the challenge?

• Produce monthly financial reporting packages for both internal business unit and Parent Company stakeholders
• Supporting accounting team during monthly close process, including validation of monthly revenue, updating backlog reporting, and distribution of opex results to department leads
• Provide financial analysis support to include actual to variance reporting/analysis, trend analysis, planning and forecasting
• With Finance Manager produces monthly EBITDA outlook including revenue, COS and opex forecasting for inclusion in the Parent company's (Intelsat) monthly revenue and ops review meetings
• Leads preparation of quarterly "prepared by client" (PBC) materials for the external auditors, primarily analysis of revenue and opex variances
• Support the development of the Annual Operating Plan with Intelsat Corporate FP&A
• Modify reports using the ERP system to properly reflect actual and budget data stored in the company's ERP system (MS Dynamics SL). This includes populating and adjusting the budgets in the system based on inputs from Intelsat Corporation
• Potentially develop financial component of business cases for IGC Product Teams and coordinate with the Parent company's Strategy team in support IGC requirements in satellite business cases
• Serves as Subject Matter Expert for the Salesforce pricing and contract management tool
• Develop P&L reporting, including analysis to budget, for new products
• Streamline monthly tasks to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Develop reporting to support Sales and executive teams

You should definitely have:

• This role is subject to ITAR/EAR; candidates must be a US Person (this includes US Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Individual such as an asylee or refugee)
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, with at least 3-5 years of work experience in government contracting financial analysis
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to manipulate data, create reports and develop spreadsheets, including pivot tables and advanced formulas
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze, validate and synthesize complex financial data and communicate succinct conclusions and recommendations
• Outstanding interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
• Prior knowledge of or the ability to learn new financial software applications, including ERP systems such as Salesforce.com, MS Dynamics SL, etc.
• Creativity, attention to detail, aptitude for technical knowledge, desire to learn.
• Basic accounting knowledge regarding the general ledger and financial statements.
• May require employee to apply for security clearance.

• GAAP knowledge and prior accounting experience
