Eaton's Electrical sector Critical Power and Digital Infrastructure (CPDI) division is currently seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to join our team. This position will be based out of Raleigh, NC.

Position Overview:

The Lead Financial Analyst will provide financial analysis and decision support to Service management and manage the transition of reporting from Oracle/OBIEE to SalesForce/SAP and PowerBI, while ensuring the integrity of financial reporting within the guidelines of GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley, and Eaton Financial Policies/Procedures. Duties involve a variety of accounting and finance functions focused on operational analysis. This role will also support monthly closing and forecasting, and yearly Profit Plan activities.

In this function you will:

  • Supports the monthly closing processes for the CPS Service ledger and provides quality, timely, and accurate information for the leadership team and supporting functions.
  • Perform analytics and derive insight from key front-end (e.g., revenue & backlog) and operational metrics.
  • Owns CPS Service backlog process, including reporting and review/maintenance.
  • Prepare CPS Service variance analysis and commentary following each month-end and rolling forecast.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive policy/process improvements and building proactive reporting tools and analysis.
  • Serves as SAP expert for the CPS Service financial function. Leads ongoing training efforts for finance function to improve team efficiencies.
  • Performs analysis/reconciliations of balance sheet and P&L accounts on a monthly basis. Reviews and resolves variances.
  • Manages CPS Service reporting transition from legacy systems (Oracle/OBIEE) to SalesForce/SAP and PowerBI, and managing updates after implementation.
  • Manages non-standard customer billing and owns customer portal administration.
  • Manages revenue recognition process and communicates to appropriate teams based on P&L impacts.
  • Assists in CPS FP&A report building and automation, primarily utilizing PowerBI.
  • Work in team environment to drive improvement in financial processes through tools/systems, automation, and standardization.
  • Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton's goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement.
  • Assist in ad-hoc requests as necessary.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum three (3) years Accounting or Finance experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of US GAAP
  • CPA/CMA/MBA - Experience with SAP, Oracle Financials, Encore, PL Encore, Khalix, Longview and advanced Microsoft skills
  • Experience with SAP, SalesForce, PowerBI, SQL, Oracle Financials, Encore, PL Encore, Khalix, Longview and advanced Microsoft skills
  • Past experience in both General Ledger and shared service (AR/AP) accounting
  • Previous consolidations experience


Position Criteria:

  • Strong analytical skills; intellectual rigor and curiosity; problem-solving capability
  • Solid understanding of the US GAAP
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required. Must be able to gauge the needs of a variety of internal customers and adapt delivery style or level of detail as appropriate
  • Process oriented and drives projects to completion
  • Ability to think strategically and see big picture in a constantly changing business environment and market
