Senior Financial Analyst, Rideshare

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team partnering with Lyft’s enterprise sales (Lyft Business) organization and its senior leaders to build P&Ls, manage quarterly and rolling forecasts, and provide decision support through insightful financial analyses to ensure optimal returns on strategic investments. Lyft Business will be one of Lyft’s most powerful growth levers coming out of the COVID pandemic and continues to build out a strong support team to ensure the business continues to deliver against its aggressive growth targets. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, business process excellence, and reporting skills, with the goal of providing appropriate business insight and financial execution, and offers the opportunity to manage a top to bottom P&L and directly influence decision making.
Responsibilities:
- Develop deal models, analysis, and financial models to inform decisions for business partners
- Own, scale, and continuously improve department P&L (revenue through opex), financial metrics, and business processes to support the team and aid in decision-making
- Partner with the sales operations and accounting teams to calculate accruals and assist with a quick close process
- Build and maintain dashboards that enable the business to make real-time decisions
- Support and improve weekly/monthly/quarterly analysis and reporting processes including forecasting and variances to plan, ensuring key issues, risks, and business drivers are understood and highlighted
- Prepare ad hoc executive-grade reporting, summarizing findings and recommendations
- Lead beyond planning and modeling – be an informed thought leader and partner to business and Finance leaders to drive operational excellence
Experience:
- BA/BS with 4+ years of FP&A experience; sales finance or experience with a sales organization preferred
- Prior experience working with business partners as well as cross functional teams
- Able to nimbly navigate/construct P&Ls with ease
- Able to build a complex model or analysis and summarize into key points
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented and organized
- Knowledge of financial systems (Anaplan, Oracle, Essbase or similar)
- SQL knowledge a plus
