Reports to the Associate Director of FP&A and is primarily responsible for spending reporting, including actual spending, forecasting and annual budgets, completion of various spending analyses and monthly financial reporting.

Essential Duties and Position Responsibilities

• Monthly compilation of actual spending, including explanations of variances to Forecast and Budget
• Compiling the projections and annual budget for spending with input from the various department heads for management review for total Surgery
• Balance sheet account analysis and reconciliation to the General Ledger
• Compiling various spending analyses for management review on a periodic basis
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements as well as corporate financial policies
• Assist with financial modeling for various investment proposals
• Support the platform team providing financial analysis and support of platform business case models
• Various other special projects as assigned

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• Minimum 2 years of relevant business experience
• CPA, CMA or MBA preferred
• Working knowledge of PC based systems, with strong knowledge of spreadsheet packages and database management software.
• Strong oral and written communication skills as well as excellent organizational skills.

• Internal Relationships: BU Platform Team, BU Leadership team, Corporate Finance Staff
• External Relationships: Auditors and consultants

Scope and Impact of Position:

• Position is responsible for providing and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data. If there are errors or incorrect compilation of financial data, management will be misinformed.
