We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing FP&A organization!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide finance support for the broader FP&A organization.
  • Create monthly financial close packages which would include P&L, actual vs budget/forecast spend variances, trends, headcount, tracking scorecards, consolidating data from other FP&A teams, and provide insightful explanations on variances.
  • Become an expert at our Hyperion budgeting system, Tableau financial data/reports, be able to query/ upload/download data and produce meaningful and clear reporting.
  • Validate data across different schedules, and ensure formatting is consistent.
  • Assist in preparing monthly business reviews decks, monthly analytics decks, and quarterly audit committee/Board of Directors presentations.
  • Take on additional business support responsibilities and adhoc requests as needed.



Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, and at least 5 years of relevant finance experience
  • Understand general accounting/finance principles (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, month-end close process/reporting, accruals/prepaids, GAAP/Non-GAAP reporting)
  • Able to work with large data sets from multiple systems and make good business judgment when necessary
  • Able to produce multiple key deliverables under tight deadlines and fast turnaround times during certain periods without sacrificing accuracy and presentation.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications especially in Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, filters) and PowerPoint.
  • Good communication skills and comfortable working with upper levels of management.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Hyperion would be preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Tableau would be preferred.
  • Industry experience in medical device would be preferred.



Functional Description

Develops, interprets and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. Performs economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.

  • A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
  • Demonstrates further technical development and a track record of project success.
  • Demonstrates an ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 5-8 years of related experience.



Workplace Type

  • The Workplace Type for this role is High Flex. Based on the nature of your position you will be working onsite approximately 1 day per week from collaborative space and hoteling desks at our Dexcom sites. You will need to be located within commuting distance (typically 75 miles/120km) of your assigned Dexcom site. #LI-HYBRID
