We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing Finance & Strategy (F&S) team. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference at the ground level of a global, pre-IPO, tech company. The F&S team partners with management and leaders across the company to advise on strategic decision-making, leads financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, and supports investor relations initiatives. Based out of ThoughtSpot’s global headquarters in Sunnyvale, California (however, you can be remote), this role is critical in supporting our R&D and G&A teams and helping drive a scalable and efficient operation.  

The ideal candidate will have a background in corporate finance at an enterprise software company, is an organized, highly motivated, ambitious self-starter with great communication skills and analytical abilities.

Your role will encompass and/or support the following key responsibilities:

• Support the company’s strategic and financial planning processes including monthly and quarterly forecasts and annual operating plan
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting - analyze financial results, track budget versus actuals variance, distill key trends
• Prepare Board presentations and management reports to communicate company performance and outlook
• Partner with Accounting to perform month-end close activities and help drive process improvements and efficiencies in the close process
• Help own and enhance Adaptive Insights, drive scalable reporting and tools for the Finance & Strategy organization
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders and teams in R&D and G&A
• Work on special ad hoc projects as needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of work experience in an FP&A role at enterprise software or SaaS companies
• BA/BS degree in finance or accounting from a leading institution
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Google Suite
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statements
• Highly organized, self-starter and able to deal with ambiguity
• Prior experience with Adaptive, NetSuite, Workday and other software systems
