THE ROLE

We are looking to add a senior manager to our strategic finance team. You will be responsible for supporting the Marketing organization with a focus on strategic financial forecasting and projects such as determining capital allocation for short, medium, and long-term strategies. You will drive the Company revenue forecast, optimize capital resources, and develop strategy to shape our business. As a member of the strategic finance team, you will build the foundations of a world-class finance organization and be a thought leader with our business partners and have frequent interaction with company leadership. 

 

The ideal candidate enjoys measuring, driving and improving metrics that drive the business, thrives in uncertainty and is capable of managing multiple, disparate projects at once.

YOUR IMPACT:

  • Own the revenue forecasting process for our direct-to-consumer business
  • Be the primary finance business partner to our Marketing organization and CMO
  • Build financial planning infrastructure to support our customer acquisition strategy, customer retention, and operating expenditures
  • Advise and report on financial, marketing, and operational performance
  • Be a thought partner in M&A and other strategic transactions
  • Contribute to fundraising and capital raising efforts
  • Work with Company analytics team to build dashboards to monitor Company performance
  • Create world-class presentations for internal and external parties; drive board presentations, investor communication, and fundraising as necessary
  • Build KPIs as appropriate and identify potential areas of improvement
  • Contribute, in a supporting role, to the annual and quarterly budgeting and planning process
  • Extract insights from and contribute to architecture decisions of a cloud financial planning tool
  • Perform financial modeling and market analysis for ad hoc projects

ABOUT YOU:

  • 6-10+ total years of experience with a combination of the following:
  • Being a finance operator, preferably in fast-growing, recurring revenue, startup environment
  • Experience supporting C-level executives and their direct reports
  • Performance and brand marketing experience is a nice to have
  • Some prior professional services experience in investment banking, private equity, or consulting is a nice to have
  • Extremely organized and proven track record of handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • A forward-thinking, creative, and intellectually curious mindset that can accelerate the team’s potential
  • Proven ability to build trusting relationships with business partners and present to executives
  • A thoughtful work style that can dive deep into the numbers, but also think about the bigger picture
  • Understanding of public and private capital markets
  • Exceptional proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
  • Experience with business intelligence tools and knowledge of SQL and an analytics language/tool is a plus
