About the role

The Finance Operations and Business Support team is a critical partner to multiple functional areas across the organization and partners heavily with leaders across the company. We are building a best-in-class team of financial partners to collaborate with business owners to provide thought leadership, financial stewardship, and bring a solution-oriented mindset to optimize company operations in both the short and long term. The Finance Senior Director supporting Operations is responsible for providing overall financial thought leadership including cost/forecast management, vetting investment proposals, and serving as an overall strategic thought leader to these key groups.  

What you’ll do: 

  • Serve as overall financial lead and strategic thought partner to Chief Operating Officer and overall Operations organization 
  • Provide financial support and analysis across multiple groups including Fleet Management, Logistics, Culinary (R&D and Production), Order Management, Hospitality, and regional teams  
  • Build a team of finance professionals to support individual Operations verticals 
  • Own overall Operations team annual budgets, periodic forecasting processes, and serve as liaison back to broader Finance team to explain actuals to forecast variances 
  • Partner with COO to develop, implement, and manage best-in-class variable labor model across entire Operations organization; develop metrics to drive accountability  
  • Run scenario analyses on multiple business model options spanning various Logistics / Go-To-Market models; develop and report financial POV to leadership 
  • Develop capital spending requests as needed on various investment projects  
  • Support development of overall RF P&L and Unit Economics by providing subject matter expertise on Operations/Costs/GTM  
  • Instill a disciplined cost management mindset amongst stakeholders while also supporting need to move quickly and allowing flexibility to test and learn / fail fast 

The experience you have

  • 12-15 years relevant corporate finance experience, ideally supporting broad & complex business operations, variable-labor planning, GTM and supply chain organizations   
  • Expertise in Excel, scenario-based and capex modeling (DCF/IRR) 
  • Experience with ERP systems (ideally Microsoft Finance & Ops - Dynamics 365) and data/BI platforms (Looker) a plus 
  • Proven track record of establishing, managing, and inspiring best-in-class finance teams 
  • Strong demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior cross-functional executives to establish trust and credibility 
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment 
  • Comfortable with being scrappy and in an agile environment 
  • Ability to designate between, understand, and be comfortable operating in both situations that require deep financial rigor and those which are more ambiguous 
  • Excellent organization, presentation, and communication skills (both written and verbal) 
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable skills/processes
