What we’re looking for
The Senior AML Associate will report to M1’s AML Compliance Officer and work closely with M1’s fraud and operations team to assist in the identification, testing, and remediation of anti-money laundering policies and procedures and surveillance of customer account activity for investment and checking account activity. This individual will be a strong independent worker and leader.
What you’ll do
- Ensure company-wide training on AML red flags and procedures
- Identify, document, and file SARs
- Assist M1’s AML Compliance Officer with building additional automated rules to ensure all AML flags are identified in customer transactions
- Build relationships with M1 business partners to ensure solid AML process for all products and all necessary reporting requirements are met
- Respond to any outside AML inquiries
- Complete bi-monthly 314(a) Fincen reviews, 314(b) requests, and OFAC reviews
- Assist with annual AML audit
Qualifications
- 5-7 years AML experience in the financial industry, securities experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Series 7 and/or ACAMS certification required
- Self-starter and independent worker with strong communication skills
- Advanced problem-solving, analytical, and prioritization skills
- Ability to work independently with little instruction
