Overview
The senior analyst will perform a variety of analytical and transactional functions within the treasury group. Responsibilities will center on monitoring and forecasting cash flows and liquidity, pledging of collateral to financing lines projecting adequacy of liquidity resources to meet upcoming transactions and various management reports. This person will interface with key executive management and bank counterparties in the performance of their responsibilities.
Job Description

  • Preparation of forecasts of liquidity, including amounts available on multiple financing facilities; making certain assumptions for advance rates, collateral market value and line capacity
  • Determining the most efficient means of financing pools of assets, using eligibility criteria on financing lines, cost of funds and collateral characteristics
  • Performing monthly waterfall calculations for the settlement of cash flows and interest
  • Pledging collateral and working closely with banking partners to ensure that the collateral pledged is within the eligible criteria for the financing facilities
  • Running complex cash flow forecasting
  • Assisting with the coordination of Bank reviews of the company and due diligence meetings
  • Initiate, approve, or release wire transfers or ACH
  • Perform reconciliations of servicing advance activity
  • Review sub-servicer reporting for trusts of affiliates
  • Weekly and monthly reporting per advance line
  • Preparation of reports and development of new management reports for distribution to senior executives with respect to investment capacity, liquidity and capital requirements
  • Reviewing bank contractual agreements to perform compliance with financial covenants and preparation of monthly compliance certificates
  • Reviewing existing manual processes and determining more efficient means to improve and streamline such processes
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical and sound judgment skills
  • Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
  • Experience in creating and reengineering business processes; creates controls to capture every detail
  • Able to act as a "change agent" at the macro and micro level
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
