Spreetail is looking to add a Senior Accounting Manager to the fast-growing Accounting and Finance teams! This is a crucial role at Spreetail where you will not only have the opportunity to assist in building out new processes and procedures to ensure the business can scale, but this role is the connective tissue between our Vendors, and the inventory we have for sale. This role will have a high level of visibility to numerous departments at Spreetail!

How you will achieve success:

  • Build and maintain a high-performing, metrics-driven team; cultivate a culture of ownership through building a vision and generating alignment with your team. Track and report team success with clear and relevant financial and operational metrics. 
  • Develop and execute strategic and tactical plans to continuously improve the department; collaborate with divisional leadership to share and promote these efficiencies, including monitoring and driving service level agreement (SLA) performance, with an emphasis on on-time and accurate journal entry preparation and review. 
  • Be a visionary…design and lead key system improvement initiatives to reduce manual processes and improve accuracy. Monitor accounting-related month-end close processes and ensure on-time and accurate completion. 
  • Design and monitor reporting and metrics; build and deliver recommendations that provide clarity/direction to the team on priorities and frameworks for making decisions. 
  • Have a business first mindset. Be able to understand the big picture goal and train and lead your team to support those goals. 

What experiences will help you in this role:

  • Experience in public accounting, private accounting, or a business operations field.
  • Experience leading and building high-performing teams.
  • Proven success in driving new processes and procedures.
  • Experience working within retail or with inventory accounting is beneficial, but not a requirement.
  • Have obtained a CPA.
