Job Description

Xpansiv is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join our team at our San Francisco headquarters to report to the Global Controller. This position will own the day-to-day accounting, tax, and financial reporting activities, and will help implement controls, processes and systems to enable Xpansiv to meet operational, reporting and audit requirements as we scale. The Senior Accounting Manager will also partner with finance to support the corporate budget, forecasting and planning processes. This person will understand the end-to-end accounting process and strive to make the accounting function top in class, work cross-functionally, independently, and support all departments and business lines. Delivering results with an attention to timeliness and accuracy is key. The Senior Accounting Manager is also responsible for adhering to and promoting the company values by performing duties in a manner that is consistent with being a team leader and supports the continued growth of the company.


Responsibilities


- Lead day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations of the Accounting Department including General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions for the Americas and EMEA regions

- Prepare and coordinate month-end accrual estimates, including reviewing new and amended contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment

- Manage and perform various journal entries, reconciliations and general accounts analysis, including fixed assets, lease accounting, pre-paid, inter-company accounts

- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely reporting as well as assist with audits

- Contribute to the Finance team by sharing information and assisting others in a variety of tasks

- Drive internal tracking mechanism for internal control activities as they apply to accounting

- Partner with cross-functional teams including finance, and various business owners as needed to ensure completeness and accuracy of data

- Prepare management reports including I/S and B/S flux analysis and assist with other ad hoc projects

- Lead global accounting internal control activities 

- Evaluate workflow processes and procedures to develop, recommend and implement procedural and system changes to increase accuracy, efficiency and controls


Skills and Qualifications


- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or equivalent)

- CPA license or license candidate required

- 4+ year’s accounting / auditing experience

- Big 4 or larger national firm experience required

- Experience with structuring, monitoring and remediating internal controls

- Attention to detail

- Advanced excel skills

- Strong communication and organization skills

- Strong procedural experience

- Ability to manage and prioritize various responsibilities with competing, short deadlines


Preferred Qualifications

- Proficiency with NetSuite or other larger ERP

- Understanding of financial markets

- Experience in ad hoc reporting

- Developing and tracking operational accounting KPIs
