Senior Accountant
ASRC Federal Mission Solutions is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are currently seeking highly motivated Senior Accountant for our Finance and Accounting Team. This is a full time hybrid role so must be willing to work 2 days onsite in Moorestown NJ
Knowledge in both accounting principles and financial analysis. Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepares all financial reports. Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements and expenses. Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy. Designs, modifies, implements and/or maintains accounting systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions. Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures and internal controls. Performs and analyzes financial modeling, depreciation, actual cost against budget, variance analysis, forecasting, and financial planning and expense comparisons. Prepares reports of findings and recommendations, compiles and consolidates financial plans and provides insights to management. Develops, maintains, and establishes operational specifications for financial information systems considering such things as information flow, volume, ad hoc reporting, and analysis. May provide analysis on business development and monitors business performance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement accounting and business operations procedures by analyzing current procedures.
- Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Maintain internal policy and procedure repository.
- Support CMMI and ISO certification audits and surveillance as it pertains to subcontract management.
- Assist with establishment of new subcontract agreements.
- Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations and assist with monthly close processes.
- Contribute to the development and review of budgets and performance projections.
- Maintain documentation for accounts payable and purchasing to support indirect expenditure tracking.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure policy compliance.
- Perform monthly budget and forecast analysis.
- Respond to information requests, review financial data, and assist with audits.
- Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files as well as reconciling accounts.
- Assist the accounting manager as needed and respond to information requests by management and for auditing purposes.

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Related field required
