Description

The Senior Accountant performs close-related accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements for PCO markets and payers. Conducts or assists in project testing and documentation, as well as new process role out. Assists market by interpreting financials, providing necessary analysis, facilitating discussions, and monitoring incoming data during close. The Senior Accountant makes decisions on approach using discretion and independent judgement; makes recommendations involving other functions and other business units based on experience.

Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant prepares, records, analyzes, and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles. Senior cultivates in-depth understanding of provider based business. Ability to identify and think critically. Participate in monthly financial results meetings and assist with forecast/budget process. Build relationship with market operations/clinic/analytics teams. Assist Lead on special projects, acquisitions, and complex ad-hoc reporting for assigned region. Requires strong attention to detail, critical thinking and ability to collaborate with others within Finance team. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance
  • 5 or more years of technical experience
  • Progressive leadership and management experience
  • Prior experience within the financial industry
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences



Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration
  • Certified Public Accountant license
  • SQL
