Senior Accountant

significant focus of the position will be involved in financial and operational accounting. You will often work directly with management, engineering and operations teams for special projects.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of monthly bank reconciliations
- Review of journal entry postings
- Oversight of balance sheet accounts reconciliations monthly
- Review monthly supplemental reporting schedules
- Support the financial reporting function
- Oversight of accounts receivable and account payable processes
- Provide support during the annual and quarterly audits
- Tax compliance, state business registrations and state and local sales and use tax
- Document processes for various financial applications
- Reconciliations and reporting to necessary parties
- Create Standard Operating Procedures manual for accounting policy and regulations, and roll out reconciliation procedures
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
- BA or BS in Accounting or a related field; CPA or CPA candidate a plus
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting and financial analysis with either public company or corporate experience
- Highly knowledgeable in all General Ledger functions
- Business acumen and knowledge, and understanding of GAAP
- Must understand the relationship of financial statements to business operations and take a proactive role in developing processes/controls/systems
- Ability to quickly grasp issues and formulate approaches to problem resolution
- Understanding of management reporting and ability to drive processes/structures to facilitate reporting
- Knowledge of NetSuite is a plus
- Strong organization skills and ability to perform detail-oriented, accurate work
- Ability to plan and execute work to meet quality and timeline requirements
- Strong work ethic and high moral standards
Compensation: $75-90k
