WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

We are seeking our first Senior Accountant to join our Finance team, reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager. This role will be responsible for maintaining and improving our revenue recognition process, helping maintain the general ledger, account reconciliations and supporting other functions within the accounting department. This position will play an active role in the financial close process and preparation of month-end journal entries which include revenue recognition entries, amortization entries for certain expenses, expense allocations, and other month end close items. Additionally, this role will contribute to the formation of our accounting processes and procedures as we grow and scale.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform monthly close activities, including preparation of revenue, accounts receivable, deferred revenue and sales tax entries, reconciliations and flux analysis
• Assist with the month end close process and preparation of monthly reporting package
• Provide support for the annual audit process including preparation of supporting audit schedules
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on monthly close matters and other initiatives that impact the finance organization
• Assist with and/or complete ad hoc projects as requested. This could include assistance with M&A, system implementation and accounting research
• Cross train with other team members to serve as a back-up 
• Help develop, automate and refine our policies and processes and as we grow and
  scale

YOUR BACKGROUND THAT LIKELY MAKES YOU A MATCH

• 3+ years of experience in an Accounting role, at least 2 years in public accounting preferred
• BS/BA in Accounting/Finance/Economics
• Advanced Excel Skills
• Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Passion for analytics and problem solving
• Clear communicator with strong listening skills
• Team player
