Working under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will support the accounting team’s monthly and quarterly close process. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for multiple duties including, but not limited to completing month-end close functions, reconciling various accounts, performing data analyses and research projects, and providing support to the Company’s domestic and international subsidiaries as needed. The Senior Accountant will analyze and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department’s processes. The position will work with all levels of management to identify areas of improvement and implement change.

What You'll Do

  • Perform analyses and prepare journal entries related to the close process.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts.
  • Analyze ledgers and coordinate with departments/subsidiaries (Payroll, AP, etc.) to address reconciling items and account detail.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving month-end close processes by updating the documentation and procedures as needed.
  • Assist with internal audits and year-end external audits.
  • Support various projects aimed at improving processes and efficiency.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key business partners including but not limited to: Treasury, FP&A, Tax, Payroll other Global Reporting teams and other SME’s.
  • Other duties assigned, as necessary.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field of study required. 
  • 2-3+ years of experience in a relevant role, including experience with account reconciliation and/or public accounting experience (preferably Big 4)
  • CPA certificate or demonstrated effort and intent to obtain CPA certificate preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 
  • Must possess excellent communication skills – both written and oral in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Experience with ERP systems, NetSuite; preferred.
  • Strong detail orientation coupled with an ability to multi-task with several priorities
  • A continuous improvement mindset where you make recommendations for more efficient processes and systems where appropriate
