Summary

Aristocrat Technologies (ATI), and its subsidiary, Video Games Technologies Inc (VGT) are highly successful businesses delivering Class III and Class II gaming machines across the United States and are the main components of Aristocrat’s global land-based gaming business. As The Senior Accountant – Corporate, you will work directly with the Director, focusing on general ledger transactions and reconciliations. The role will also be responsible for all Treasury related journal entries and reconciliations. This position involves communication with other departments to ensure accurate cost center and account coding.
This role is part of the Global Shared Services team whose vision is to provide superior service experiences to our customers and employees to support scalable business growth.

What You'll Do

Treasury and General Accounting

  • Support Global Treasury Team as needed.

  • Daily reporting of cash receipts and disbursements for all cash accounts including investments.

  • Journal entries related to all cash transactions.

  • Maintain Jackpot Listing.

  • Prepare all W2Gs for jackpot winners.

  • Coordinate payment to annuity jackpot winners as required.

  • Nevada Modified Business Tax accrual and quarterly true-up.

  • Payroll related entries including salaries, benefits, 401K, STIP, PTO, and NQ Deferred equity.

  • Reconciliations in Blackline for all payroll related liabilities.

  • Deliver all reporting related to regulatory compliance requirements including monthly Minimum Bankroll, NGCB 5.115 and Mississippi Rule 1.9.

  • Support the business with the posting of miscellaneous journal entries.

  • Complete Group Supplemental Schedules.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Blackline Account Reconciliations

  • Ensures accurate and timely preparation of account reconciliations, with complete understanding of all outstanding balances.

  • Ensures appropriate supporting evidence is attached to account reconciliations.

Finance Accounting

  • Assist with audit requests as required (internal and external)

  • Completing adhoc regulatory reporting, as required

  • Responsible for various surveys, including BAE/Statistic Canada surveys and Census surveys.

  • Complete all tasks within prescribed time frames.

  • Perform analysis and financial research.

  • Work with COE Continuous Improvement team to drive process improvements through the Finance Department

Finance System

  • Embraces technology to help drive efficiency and process improvements across revenue process.

  • As required, supporting transition of legacy finance systems to global Aristocrat systems, including from Great Plains to Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP

Business Partnering

  • Understanding of customer (internal and external) needs and adaptability to drive and deliver a superior service to key stakeholders.

  • Flexibility to accommodate global time zones in order to support the global finance team objective.

What We're Looking For

  • A minimum of three years of accounting experience is required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or its equivalent

  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP’s, are required.

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and team building skills.

  • Must have general knowledge of accounting principles, excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with Microsoft D365 is a plus.

  • Worked in an ERP and consolidation tool (TM1 is an advantage)

  • Have identified change initiatives to deliver process improvements and efficiency.

  • Audit experience (either as external auditor, internal auditor, or working with auditors) would be an advantage.
