The Senior Accountant should be able to deliver exceptional performance in a fun and fast-paced environment.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
The responsibilities for this role are wide-ranging and will continue to grow and transform with the Company and individual. Responsibilities will include:
- Participation in the monthly close process, including preparing and booking assigned journal entries timely and in accordance with internal and external reporting requirements (corporate accruals, payroll, debt)
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial information utilized to determine and support key management estimates (AR allowance, credit memo reserve, etc.)
- Perform key SOX controls including over sales and leasing revenue
- Assist in quarterly reviews and the annual audit process
- Participate in the monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts in Blackline, ensuring accounts are reconciled timely, reconciling items are addressed timely, and reconciliations are updated as efficiencies and improvements are identified
- Assist in the Company's integration and shift to SAP, including implementing new solutions and ensuring the general ledger is complete and materially accurate and in accordance with SOX standards
- Contribute to additional projects and assignments as needed
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA or CPA candidate
- 2-5+ years of public accounting or public company experience
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and entire Office Suite
- Sound understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and the ability to apply GAAP to new and existing transactions
- Ability to problem-solve and analyze new information
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Thrives when working independently and is resourceful
- Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks and projects concurrently
- Positive, motivated contributor to the Company's all-hands-on-deck atmosphere
- Experience using JD Edwards, SAP, Hyperion, and/or Blackline a plus
