Included Health is looking for a strong Revenue Manager to join our growing and evolving Revenue Accounting team. This is an ideal position for a candidate that is passionate about people, processes and systems coupled with a strong background in technical revenue accounting, especially ASC 606. This is a critical role in a small but growing revenue team that will focus on operational excellence in the execution of the revenue close and will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely revenue reporting along with developing strong internal controls in all areas related to revenue recognition.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Responsible for revenue recognition policy and technical revenue accounting issues.
• Act as a technical accounting resource to support the Company’s position or policy elections on revenue recognition issues under ASC 606
• Develop relationships with key internal business partners to determine accounting requirements for revenue and revenue related projects, with a focus on Health Insurance Revenue recognition
• Assist with month-end close procedures around Revenue (including Variable Consideration), Refund Liabilities, Contractual Adjustments, Pre-Processing Holds, Denied Claims, Other Credits/Adjustments and Deferred Revenue
• Prepare month-end/quarter-end close workpapers across all accounts impacting revenue. Assist in preparation and review of month end revenue reporting.
• Identify gaps and drive process improvements to continuously streamline and automate the accounting close process to meet reporting deadlines and reduce control risk.
• Help engage and manage external auditors, including preparation and providing support documentation
• Partner with cross functional team members to support key projects and initiatives to improve the speed and quality of month-end close
• Review and document critical contract elements to ensure alignment with 606 policy

Required Skills

• At least 5 years of revenue accounting experience with along with a demonstrated understanding of ASC 606 preferably within the healthcare industry
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• Solid work ethic and good team player
• Strong problem-solving skills and has good judgment
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills – must have experience in Microsoft and Google applications
• Able to operate independently and as part of a larger functional team

Education/Experience

• BS/BA in Accounting/Finance
• CPA license or CPA candidate a plus
• Mix of private company/Big 4 experience is a plus
• Experience with Salesforce, Workday Financials, or Looker
• Experience in Healthcare
