As Senior Accountant, Foreign Offices Accounting you will perform general accounting activities for assigned functions in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) standards. Your activities include preparation of statutory accounts and financial statements under US GAAP and IFRS, and preparation and review of journal entries. You'll be required to document and maintain accounting procedures and identify process improvements and assist with year-end audits. The Senior Accountant will also prepare monthly and quarterly analyses as well as account reconciliations and complete identification of complex accounting issues while researching possible solutions. Additionally, you'll assist with lease review and disclosures.

Are you up to the challenge?
- Ability to adhere to a strict monthly accounting close schedule.
- Prepare and review journal entries with referenced supporting documentation in accordance with best practices.
- Conduct complex account analysis and research to interpret and ensure accuracy and understanding of account balances and activity.
- Support the evaluation and recording of complex transactions in accordance with US GAAP/IFRS/Other GAAP
- Prepare various complex reconciliations, schedules, and reports. Use accounting knowledge to provide correcting entries to management for any reconciling items and works to minimize such discrepancies on a go-forward basis.
- Liaise with various stakeholders in Tax, Treasury and others to coordinate activities within scope of control and resolve issues during the monthly close process.
- Support consolidated audit and manage statutory audits by developing deliverables and responding to auditor inquiries and issues.
- Prepare and/or coordinate audit packages, communicating with internal stakeholders, peers and auditors as necessary to finalize deliverables and/or resolve inquiries and issues.
- Interact with various levels of staff/management to obtain information and/or resolve issues for complex accounting issues, assigned tasks, accounts and/or legal entities.
- Create and/or maintain process documentation and procedures for assigned functions, ensuring compliance with audit and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 standards.
- Develop and document accounting procedures and policies for scope of control.
- Ability to present to executives' information that is easily understandable.
- Complete special projects (e.g. assistance with analysis, process improvements), as assigned.
You should definitely have:
- A Bachelor's degree in from an accredited university with a major in accounting or finance.
- At least five years of demonstrated accounting experience in a complex, multi-entity environment.
- Working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), SEC and other accounting and reporting standards.
- Proficiency with computer applications, such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required; good presentation skills.
- A self-starter, with strong motivation, initiative, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively to meet deadlines.
- CPA certification or CPA candidate preferred
- Experience with Oracle accounting systems preferred
