Job Description:

The Role

We are looking for a Scrum Master who will blend deep scrum expertise with program management skills and understanding of technology. You will collaborate with business and technology partners to develop solutions and overall strategies that address complex business needs and opportunities. You will be leading teams working on state of art tools and technologies. You will be leading two squads and your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitation of Agile Scrum events including stand-ups, program increment and sprint planning, release planning, backlog refinement and retrospectives.
  • Planning and Coordinating schedules and resolve dependencies with other scrum masters and teams as well as with external teams and providers.
  • Accountable for successful delivery of robust and impactful software solution features and functions, including design, development, quality assurance and production release
  • Responsible for leading maintenance and Production Support activities for existing applications.
  • Championing and driving development standard methodologies which will improve quality and efficiency within your team and the communications for business teams.
  • Examine and drive team performance through metrics and find opportunities for the squad to fully realize the benefits of working in an agile structure.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Certified Scrum Master
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Business-related field
  • 10+ years of experience in software delivery, with at least 4 years leading sophisticated IT projects/initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability as Scrum Master
  • An Agile practitioner with deep understanding of Agile principles and practices
  • Proficiency in applying Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile management methodologies in multiple software development projects
  • Power user of agile tools such as Jira, Jira Align, etc.
  • Strong program management skills
  • Proven hands-on experience running technology initiatives, including planning, execution, and delivery
  • Can organize and present ideas and information logically and concisely to a variety of audiences, including both technical and non-technical individuals
  • Strong consultative, listening, communications and analytical skills
  • Experience with database, SQL, web applications and programming languages will be a plus

The Team

  • Financial Investments, Client Operations Technology (FICOT) group develops applications for Workplace Solutions business unit within Fidelity. We provide middleware platforms, web services and data for some of the key internal customers (Operations, Investment Services Group) and external customers (Fidelity.com/Net benefits) in the company. This is a fast-paced group using various modern tech stack like Java, Spring, RESTFUL Web Services, Spring Boot, Angular, Oracle, Power BI, Quadient, etc. The focus of this group is on strategic business enhancements, redesigning experience, platform architecture modernization and cloud migration.
