About the role 

We are looking to hire a Sales and Use Tax manager, to ensure full tax compliance across the Company efficiently and effectively; to ensure the timely identification, reporting and management of key tax risks across the group; to reduce complexity in entity structure and processes thereby ensuring appropriate resource to seek out and deliver on tax optimization opportunities across the Company

What you’ll do

  • Manage consultants’ preparation of sales/use and property tax returns, prepare other returns (e.g., franchise tax) as needed
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations for sales/use and property tax.
  • Manage state and local business licensing and tax registrations
  • Work with operational teams to establish licensing and tax compliance in new geographies
  • Assist with tax audits, preparation of responses to notices, and other tax-related inquiries
  • Work with the product team to optimize front end compliance with sales, use, excise and other motor vehicle taxes
  • Maintain the tax compliance calendar.
  • Perform tax research in support of indirect tax planning and compliance. Draft technical memos in support of conclusions and provide recommendations to tax management.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement within the compliance and provision process, especially with respect to utilization of technology
  • Assist with income and other tax matters as schedule permits.
  • Support various projects such as nexus studies and voluntary disclosure claims


What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Master's Degree in Accounting or Tax a plus
  • Minimum 4+ years' tax experience required
  • Experience in both public accounting and industry experience are preferred
  • C.P.A. preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
  • Detail oriented; strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills and interpersonal skills; solid team player
