Extra Space Storage is currently hiring for a Risk Management Finance Analyst at our corporate office located in Salt Lake City, UT. At Extra Space Storage, the Risk Management Team is responsible for minimizing financial exposure to the business through identifying and mitigating risk. The team also is responsible for protecting employees, our company's assets, and our customer's goods, through loss control and safety initiatives.

Job Summary

The Risk Analyst will support the team regarding all aspects of the corporate and captive insurance program including underwriting data management, claims, billing, and allocations. The position will allow the candidate to work with teams across the organization in support of strategic initiatives to improve profitability and mitigate losses. Primary Responsibilities

• Support the risk team with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and allocations.
• Help maintain database of property information needed for insurance renewals.
• Supervise administration of risk management information system.
• Support loss control measures and reporting for tenant insurance program.
• Perform frequent analysis of claims data to identify trends and mitigate losses.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal/communication skills and the ability to provide superior customer service.
• Carry excellent organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines with multiple tasking.

Job Specifications

• Assist the Director of Risk with other duties, as assigned.
• Analyze, prepare, and publish monthly/ongoing reports on various programs using Power BI, trend analysis, and other appropriate methods.

Education and Experience

• A Bachelor's degree (mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or accounting preferred) from a four-year college or university; and/or a combination of education and relevant work experience required.
• Intermediate or higher skill level with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Analysis Services, SSAS cube reporting, or Power BI preferred.
• Three to four years of work experience in degreed field or comparable.
