Job Title: Revenue Analyst

Job Description- Revenue Analyst

  • Responsible for supporting the global revenue team to help ensure revenue contracts are recognized in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Role requires knowledge of basic accounting principles, pricing policies, legal terminology and documents, deal desk policies, order management process as well as cloud service provider relationships.


    • Work to continuously improve revenue processes and documentation
    • Review and analyze single element/renewal revenue transactions to ensure compliance with corporate policy
    • Work with PwC to provide requested documents to support audit of deals under $1M.
    • Assist in preparation of revenue recognition audit programs
    • Review completed revenue recognition package for document completeness and timely submission
    • Ensure documents are in compliance with established policies
    • Administer the Company's contract document repository
    • Assist locations in completing their revenue recognition documentation and remedying any gaps found in the documentation
    • Update and administer internal tracking tools for review of revenue recognition transactions
    • Pull cloud service reports and reconcile bank cash receipts to the remittance reports to determine how and where to recognize revenue or apply to open invoices.
    • Work with entire Revenue team to develop, publish, and operationalize the Teradata Global Revenue Policy integrated with Business Operational Processes with Revenue Accounting Guidance.
    • Demonstrate ability to work cross functionally and at various levels across the organization


Job Requirements, Education and Background

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
  • Accounting and Revenue Recognition experience preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work across the Company at all levels
  • Minimum 2 to 4+ years of related experience
