About this role

The Commissions Revenue Operations Analyst/Sr. Analyst will be responsible for calculating, analyzing and reporting variable sales compensation for Sales, Customer Success, Sales Development Teams globally (~50% of the time in the role). This role will also be supporting Sales & Success functions with key projects and initiatives and partnering with the Enablement team lead on analysing critical metrics around tool usage, onboarding and ramping of new reps 

You will be responsible for the timely delivery of accrual reporting, the accurate calculation of commission payments, and the auditing of various metrics to ensure a high level of data integrity. Along with other members of the team, this individual assist in the maintenance of the Xactly/Captivate/SPIFF compensation systems and generate analyses around compensation plan attainment and performance. 

This role will require interaction with the sales department and strong communication skills – especially the ability to communicate with senior leaders.

What you'll do 

  • Aggregate, Analyze and maintain records of sales and commission data through various sources
  • Collaborate with Sales & Business Operations teams on managing deals and resolving commission-related issues
  • Evaluate commissions guidelines periodically and suggest improvement measures
  • Support the day-to-day administration of incentive compensation plans for all eligible employees (globally), including, but not limited to: maintaining employee and plan data in commissions tools (Xactly, CaptivateIQ, SPIFF), updating applicable quotas / targets, and payout structures
  • Partner cross functionally with sales leadership, business operations, and finance to accurately record and audit commission and adjustments
  • Provide proactive analytics on sales incentives results, including budget vs. actual variances
  • Work on ad-hoc projects as needed and seek continuous process improvements and automation
  • Analyze usage and impact of sales tools and tech stack on rep’s productivity and efficiency, make recommendations on process improvements
  • Partner with Enablement team to develop metrics management system to evaluate success of various programs Sales & Enablement programs
  • Develop sales rep and management dashboards in Salesforce, track KPIs to provide more visibility into reps pipelines and activities

Qualifications:

  • Prior startup company and commission structures experience preferred
  • Experience with incentives software applications a must (Xactly, Captivate, SPIFF)
  • 2+ years of experience with Salesforce
  • Comfortable partnering and engaging with cross-functional teams: Finance, Business Operations, Sales, Customer Success
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookups and data analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or another field that uses quantitative analysis
  • Superior communication skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels of an organization
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to extract insight from data sets
  • SQL knowledge is a plus
