We are looking for an Accounting Revenue Manager to join our team and manage and support the revenue cycle of the company. In this role you will focus on the revenue recognition process, timing of revenue and related cost of goods sold, invoicing, inventory, and commissions, and support the month-end close process, including posting journal entries, and preparing reconciliations. You will aid the management team by providing financial information, researching and analyzing accounts, preparing financial statements/schedules, and providing data. This data research will be used to assist with compliance and may involve your participation in special projects. The Accounting Revenue Manager role is a hands-on role with supervisory responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the full revenue cycle from invoice creation to revenue recognition and application of payment and maintain responsibility for monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations as they relate to the AR cycle
  • Manage and support the cost of goods sold process, focused on the timing of expense recognition.
  • Supervise the tracking of inventory and related accounting both for sales to customers and demonstration equipment
  • Support customer relations, build effective partnerships within Dragos and provide guidance and supervision of direct reports
  • Provide assistance with gathering support for all audits, including pulling documentation and special projects on an as-needed basis
  • Investigate and resolve problems associated with the processing of invoices and payments
  • Receives, researches, and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Provide recommendations to help streamline existing processes and procedures and support direct reports

Requirements

  • 10-12 years of experience in accounting with 4-6 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge and experience in revenue recognition under ASC 606
  • Experience with NetSuite and MS Office
  • Experience working for a software as a service (SaaS) company
  • Strong attention to detail, self-review to yield a low error rate, organizational skills, and analytical thinking are a must
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, manage timelines, provide guidance and support to direct reports, and deliver upon deadlines while working in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and collaborate for problem resolution with internal staff in both the finance team and other departments, while maintaining positive working relationships with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $140,000
  • Base + Benefits + Equity = $230,000
  • Comprehensive benefits plan (medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401K with match)
  • Equity at Dragos is quickly growing and the total compensation under-represents the future growth and refresh program. This will be discussed on the first call with the Dragos recruiter.
