Responsibilities

The Revenue Cycle Support Analyst (RCSA) will:-Assist with or be responsible for the auditing, implementing and testing of WellStar Health System workqueues with afocus towards enterprise work queue management including security, auditing, denials prevention and escalation-Participate in the development of project plans, which may require coordinating various schedules, attendingmeetings/conference calls as needed-Works with non-Revenue Cycle departments and EPIC Connect-Resolute Hospital Billing to make sound decisionson system workqueue changes or enhancements-Reviewing defined Revenue Integrity workqueues in order to notify or escalate necessary corrections to theappropriate parties to support a clean and accurate claim-Support the Revenue Cycle Centralized Operations Support department in numerous tasks including updating databases, and maintaining EPIC workqueue workflows.-Assume a support role in numerous multi-disciplinary committees, including coordinating meetings and ensuring theaccuracy of minutes-Review issues in work Queues, including but not limited to identify issues that need further review and root causeanalysis-Assist with running and analyze reports to identify patterns of workqueue issues for WHS enterprise claims.-Support revenue cycle stakeholders as a dedicated oversight resource for tracking,monitoring and escalatingworkqueue concerns for WHS.
Qualifications

Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma required.• 4 semesters of cumulative college experience required; associates degree preferred

Required Minimum Experience:• Two years of practical Information Technology working experience or• Two years of department specific work experience in Revenue Cycle departments, including but not limited toPatient Financial Services or Revenue Management having experience with system workqueues.• Understanding of the hospital revenue cycle best practices and procedures.• Customer support service with knowledge of medical and IT terminology preferred• General knowledge of IT concepts, best practices and procedures preferred• 2 years experience working with EPIC preferred

Required Minimum Skills:• Preferred, general to intermediate knowledge of MS Office Professional applications, VISIO, Crystal, BusinessObjects, SQL and other metadata tools.• Understanding of EPIC billing systems, strong knowledge of CPT and Revenue codes and overall insuranceprocessing rules/regulations required.• Customer focused attitude.• Strong analytical, problem-solving and evaluation skills. Analyzes both successes and failures for clues toimprovement.• Strong personal organizational skills and self-discipline. The ability to multi-task.• Learns quickly when facing new problems. Experiments and tries multiple possibilities to find solutions.Enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks. Quickly grasps the essence and the underlying structure of what isrequired to get the job done.• Can learn new skills and applies knowledge in a timely and accurate manner. Is good at learning newproducts or technical knowledge. Does well in technical courses and seminars. Maintains a sufficienttechnical skill level to effectively interact with IT resources.• Exceptional communicational skiils toward all levels of the organization.• Presentation skills sufficient to promote new applications and the prioritization of systems and applicationswhich improve the financial wellbeing of WellStar Health System
