The Role 

Working under the general direction of the Vice President of RCM and Customer Success, the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Implementation Specialist supports all net new business onboarding activities and supports the beginning cycle of these corresponding go-lives from a RCM perspective which encompasses: customer engagement, workflow and playbook development, creation of training documentation where applicable, communication with all applicable team members who will be supporting each customer’s revenue cycle as a whole, overseeing the established processes and overall performance until customer hand-off occurs, and gaining and sustaining an in-depth knowledge of our billing platform.

RCM Support & Leadership

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for RCM team during designated onboarding phase and post go-live until customer hand-off occurs
  • Assess new customer’s current state workflow and work with customer on best approach for a successful implementation and ongoing performance
  • Maintain awareness of customer data from go-live to customer hand-off to identify and drive solutions on any trends that need action or resolution (increase in denials, decrease in claims billed month over month, etc.)
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for revenue cycle improvement initiatives and collaborates with cross functional teams as needed to develop and execute these plans in the course of an implementation
  • Oversee the creation of an RCM playbook for all net new Gentem customers based on compliance guidelines and customer-specific processes
  • Collaborate with billing and collections daily (Lead/Specialist) to monitor workflow, track KPIs, and identify any barriers to task completion
  • Lead RCM trainings on process implementation and Gentem procedures to staff supporting billing and collection leads
  • Ensures hand-off transitional phase to RCM Manager is smooth
  • Works closely with designated Customer Success Managers who are also assigned to every implementation to identify potential issues and/or risks that could delay projected go-live date timeline
  • Help manage the post go-live relationship to ensure business deliverables are met
  • Well versed in developing and sustaining effective relationships with all stakeholders

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Five plus years experience with physician practice RCM functions
  • Comprehensive knowledge of outpatient revenue cycle related metrics and KPI’s
  • Understanding of medical coding/billing across various insurance carriers
  • Ability to successfully manage numerous tasks and successfully prioritize simultaneously with a proven track record to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized approach and proven attention to detail
  • Experienced project management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Google Suite or related software
  • Experience with multiple EHRs a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
